Learning to love yourself through every phase of becoming:
Nobody really prepares you for what this path actually feels like.
You hear words like awakening, ascension, alignment. It sounds beautiful. It sounds peaceful. Like you’re just going to glow your way into your higher self and everything will magically fall into place.
But the truth is, this journey will change you in ways you didn’t expect.
It will ask you to let go of versions of yourself you thought you needed. It will put you in situations that force you to choose yourself. It will bring things to the surface that you tried to ignore.
And somehow, in the middle of all of that, you are meant to find joy.
Not fake happiness. Not pretending everything is okay.
Real joy.

When everything starts shifting
There comes a moment where you feel it. Something is different.
Things that used to feel right don’t feel the same anymore. People, places, habits, even your own thoughts. You start noticing what is aligned and what is not, and you cannot unsee it.
That part can feel uncomfortable.
You might feel lost. You might question yourself. You might wonder if you are doing something wrong.
You are not.
You are becoming more aware. And awareness changes everything.
Joy begins in that awareness. Not because everything is perfect, but because you are finally being honest with yourself.
You start choosing yourself in ways you never did before
This is where things get real.
You stop settling for things that drain you. You stop shrinking to make others comfortable. You stop ignoring that inner voice that has been trying to guide you the whole time.
And at first, it might feel lonely.
Choosing yourself can feel unfamiliar if you are used to putting others first. It can feel uncomfortable to set boundaries or walk away from things that once felt safe.
But every time you choose yourself, something shifts inside of you.
You start building trust with yourself.
And that trust turns into a quiet kind of joy. The kind that does not depend on anyone else.
Joy becomes something deeper
At some point, you realize joy is not just about feeling good all the time.
It is about feeling right.
It is about being in alignment with who you are, even if things around you are still unfolding.
You find joy in small moments. In peace. In clarity. In the way your energy feels when you are not forcing anything.
You start appreciating things you used to overlook.
A calm morning. A deep breath. A moment where your mind is quiet and your heart feels steady.
That is real joy.

You stop chasing and start trusting
There is a shift that happens when you stop trying to control everything.
When you stop asking when, how, and why all the time and start focusing on how you feel instead.
You begin to trust your path.
You understand that not everything needs to make sense right away. That things are unfolding in a way that is guiding you, even if you cannot fully see it yet.
And when you trust like that, life feels lighter.
You are not fighting it anymore.
You are moving with it.
You are allowed to feel good while you are still growing
This is something a lot of people forget.
You do not have to wait until you are fully healed to feel joy.
You do not have to have everything figured out.
You are allowed to feel good right now. In this moment. Exactly where you are.
You can be growing and still enjoy your life.
You can be healing and still laugh, still feel peace, still have moments where everything feels okay.
That is not you ignoring your journey.
That is you embracing it.
Final thoughts
Your spiritual path is not just about becoming a higher version of yourself.
It is about learning how to love yourself through every version of who you are.
The uncertain version.
The healing version.
The growing version.
The version that is still figuring it all out.
There is joy in all of it.
Not at the end.
But in every step you take as you rise.
And the more you allow yourself to feel that, the more you realize something powerful.
You were never lost.
You were always becoming.
With Love,
✨Marlene Ivette✨
